Coming Soon

It would be fair to say that most of us in the amateur team loathe the idea of crunching hill after hill on a Saturday morning. Well guess what team, the only way we're all going to improve (or conquer our fears) is by doing some basic hill training.

Starting next week (w/c 24 May) I'll be posting times for some mid-week training sessions at the Boulevard. If anyone is interested, please let us know what your preferred days and times are and we'll do our best to accommodate for everyone.

All riding abilities are welcome but I must warn you we'll be taking it fairly slow for the first few weeks... At least! Full session details will be posted later in the week.

  5. Sorry to Hijack your post but I thought it might be relevant to a mid week training sess.
I need to do core training/ exercises to improve my riding technique and was wondering if anyone out there is doing any Fitball, pilates or yoga. I'd like to join you or organise a evening/ morning session during the week.

  7. Hey Tri. Came across this article a few weeks back on CyclingTips. If you can't be arsed getting down to the gym/yoga etc. you can probably do a lot of these exercises in the comfort of your own home. Check it:

  9. So Far I have tendonitis, meniscus cartilage damage, nerve pinching, water in the knees, tissue damage, ligament damage ect. ect. Man I don't know, maybe seat too high, weak glutes, poor core, Tight muscles, bad pedalling technique, not enough time on the bike, too much time on the bike, pedalling on a hard gear, knees jerking sideways, ankles rolling, heel not horizontal, damn it's gotta be one of those.

    Benny thank's for the tips.
Bikram yoga next week also!!! You have to go just to check the instructor out.

  10. Remember to drink 5 gallons of water during the day before your bikram session.... The best attire for bikram is a pair of speedos..... I might join too some time.
